Responsible Energy Development
Starts at Acquisition

At Alamo Exploration, ESG is not an afterthought — it is embedded into every acquisition decision, every lease negotiation, and every operator relationship. As a capital partner positioned directly adjacent to the operating leg of development, we hold ourselves and our partners to the highest standards of environmental, social, and governance performance.

Responsible Energy Development Across American Landscapes
Our Commitment

ESG-Integrated Capital Deployment

As a non-operating mineral interest owner and capital partner, Alamo Exploration occupies a unique position in the energy value chain. While we do not directly control drilling rigs or production facilities, our proximity to the operating leg of development gives us significant influence over how, when, and under what conditions our mineral assets are developed. We leverage that influence to drive measurable ESG outcomes across every basin in our portfolio.

Reporting & Alignment

Industry-Standard
Framework Alignment

Alamo Exploration aligns its ESG reporting and materiality assessments with internationally recognized frameworks. While we are not a publicly reporting entity, we voluntarily adopt the disclosure principles and performance metrics established by the following standards to ensure institutional-grade transparency with our stakeholders.

Our internal ESG working group — comprising members of our executive, legal, and land departments — conducts quarterly reviews of our ESG performance against these frameworks and issues internal scorecards to guide capital allocation decisions.

Materiality Assessment

Priority ESG Topics

Through stakeholder engagement and industry benchmarking, we have identified the following material ESG topics most relevant to our business model as a mineral interest owner and non-operating capital partner.

GHG Emissions & Flaring

Evaluating operator emissions intensity and flaring rates as part of lease-level due diligence. Preferring operators with verifiable emissions reduction programs.

Water Management

Assessing produced water handling, recycling rates, and freshwater sourcing practices in water-stressed basins. Supporting operators with closed-loop water systems.

Land Use & Biodiversity

Requiring surface impact assessments and reclamation commitments. Evaluating proximity to sensitive habitats and cultural heritage sites.

Landowner & Community Relations

Maintaining transparent communication, fair-market valuations, and proactive community engagement across all acquisition regions.

Health & Safety Culture

Prioritizing operator partnerships with industry-leading safety metrics, including Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR).

Ethics & Anti-Corruption

Enforcing strict ethical business conduct, conflicts of interest policies, and zero-tolerance for predatory mineral acquisition tactics.

Regulatory Compliance

Monitoring state and federal regulatory landscapes across all jurisdictions. Ensuring compliance with NEPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and state-level oil and gas commission rules.

Climate Risk Assessment

Evaluating physical and transitional climate risks to our mineral portfolio, including stranded asset analysis and commodity price scenario modeling.

Workforce & DEI

Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices. Supporting workforce development programs in energy-producing communities.

Operator Selection

Responsible Development
Through Operator Vetting

While Alamo Exploration does not directly operate wells, we are deeply embedded in the development process. Our operator vetting framework evaluates prospective operating partners across environmental compliance history, safety performance, community relations track records, and ESG reporting maturity before we commit capital to joint development.

This influence-based model allows us to drive ESG outcomes without the direct operational footprint — channeling institutional capital only toward operators who share our commitment to responsible development.
